1963: Bruce McLaren founds Bruce McLaren Motor Racing Ltd, which later becomes McLaren Racing. The team enters Formula One for the first time at the Monaco Grand Prix with a single car.

1966: McLaren Racing wins its first Grand Prix with Bruce McLaren at the wheel.

1968: Bruce McLaren wins his first race as a constructor and driver, and the team finishes second in the Constructors' Championship.

1970: Bruce McLaren wins his final race for the team before his death in a testing accident. The team finishes second in the Constructors' Championship.

1974: Emerson Fittipaldi wins the Drivers' Championship for McLaren Racing, the team's first championship.

1976: James Hunt wins the Drivers' Championship for McLaren Racing.

1984: Niki Lauda wins the Drivers' Championship for McLaren Racing, and the team wins its first Constructors' Championship.

1985: Alain Prost joins McLaren Racing, and the team wins its second consecutive Constructors' Championship.

1986: McLaren Racing wins its third Constructors' Championship in a row, and Prost wins his second Drivers' Championship.

1988: McLaren Racing dominates the season, winning 15 out of 16 races and taking both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships.

1989: Prost and Ayrton Senna, both driving for McLaren Racing, have a controversial collision at the Japanese Grand Prix, which results in Prost winning the Drivers' Championship and Senna being disqualified.

1991: Senna wins his third Drivers' Championship for McLaren Racing, and the team wins its fourth Constructors' Championship.

1998: McLaren Racing wins both championships again, with Mika Hakkinen winning the Drivers' Championship.

2000: Hakkinen wins his second consecutive Drivers' Championship for McLaren Racing.

2005: McLaren Racing finishes second in the Constructors' Championship, behind Renault.

2007: Fernando Alonso joins McLaren Racing, but the season is marked by controversy and infighting between Alonso and rookie teammate Lewis Hamilton.

2008: Hamilton wins his first Drivers' Championship for McLaren Racing, and the team finishes second in the Constructors' Championship.

2010: McLaren Racing finishes second in the Constructors' Championship again, behind Red Bull Racing.

2012: Hamilton leaves McLaren Racing to join Mercedes, and the team finishes third in the Constructors' Championship.

2014: McLaren Racing ends its partnership with Mercedes and returns to using Honda engines, but the team struggles and finishes fifth in the Constructors' Championship.

2018: McLaren Racing switches to Renault engines and finishes sixth in the Constructors' Championship.

2021: McLaren Racing finishes third in the Constructors' Championship, with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo as drivers.

2022: Overall, the 2022 season was a great success for McLaren Racing. They experienced their highest finish in years with two podiums and three top-ten finishes.
